The timber is not simply cut to size. The required mortises, tenons, drillings, notches, housings and other traditional or modern timber joints are produced in advance under controlled factory conditions.
The result is a precisely machined roof structure consisting of clearly marked components that can be efficiently assembled by your carpenters on site.
How does the process work?
1. You provide the plans
The process begins with the available architectural and, where required, structural engineering plans.
Our specialists review the documentation and prepare the detailed production drawings required for CNC machining. If necessary, we can also recommend modifications to individual connections or structural details.
2. We prepare the digital production model
The complete roof structure is developed as a three-dimensional model using professional CAD/CAM design software.
This allows the individual structural connections and timber joints to be reviewed before production begins. Detailed digital planning helps identify potential discrepancies at an early stage and reduces the need for time-consuming modifications on site.
3. CNC processing with the Hundegger K2i
The data from the digital production model is transferred to our CNC-controlled Hundegger K2i joinery machine.
The machine can perform operations including:
- straight and angled cuts,
- traditional and modern timber joints,
- mortise-and-tenon connections,
- notches and housings,
- milling,
- horizontal and vertical drilling,
- component marking and numbering.
Even the components of complex roof structures can be accurately prefabricated, identified and systematically prepared for installation.
4. The components are supplied ready for assembly
Each component is cut, machined and clearly marked according to the approved production model.
This allows the carpenters on site to focus primarily on assembly. The need for additional cutting and machining on the construction site can be significantly reduced, resulting in a faster, cleaner and more predictable installation process.
